Pirate’s Treasure iPhone Review
Review Score:

Pirates are all the rage lately, films like Pirates of The Caribbean have glamorised the lifestyle choice. Personally the idea of sailing the seven seas, pilfering and plundering sounds good – but the lack of hygiene and high chance of scurvy is a big draw back. For those like me, Pirates Treasure offers the Pirating experience scaled down into a handy package without the odour and dental diseases.

08 Pirates Treasure iPhone Review

The game is one of a growing number of twin stick shooters. The control method might not seem like a natural fit for the iPhone but it does actually work pretty well with one stick allowing for movement and the other for shooting. You are pitted against the Grim Reaper and have to fight through stages to gain keys which open up more stages.

The pirate seems a little sluggish for my liking and the upgrade system needs to be used to quickly to ensure that the game doesn’t become tiresome and frustrating due to the slow manoeuvring. There are plenty of levels, 50 in total - but there isn’t much variation in enemies. They are mainly bugs and not the over the top sea monsters that i would have like to have seen.

Pirates Treasure is a decent game and fun is to be had, It’s not a classic but a very playable game.
