Batman: Arkham City Details Revealed

Today Warner Bros. confirmed the title and expected release time for the upcoming Batman sequel being developed by Rocksteady. The offical title is Batman: Archam City and will be released in fall 2011 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, as well as on PC.

There haven’t been any other confirmed details at this time, with the exception of two villains that will be in the game. The villains are Mr. Freeze, a personal favorite and Talia al Ghul, daughter of Ra’s al Ghul, who was so very well portrayed in the film Batman Begins by none other than Liam Neeson.

One can only speculate as to what this title suggests. I am hoping this means we all get to explore Gotham City via and open world platform. If that is the case and it is done the right way this could be one of the biggest comic book turned video game releases of all time. On a personal note, please bring back the Joker. Mark Hamill is amazing as the Joker and I really would like to see him make a comeback. I know he was in the teaser trailers for the game, but that doesn’t mean he is confirmed. Also no boy wonder. Let Robin stay home and iron his tights. This may seem like a good chance for co-op by adding Robin into the game but don’t do it Rocksteady. It would ruin the overall feel of this dark and gritty action game.
