Brink Voted Most Anticipated Game at Eurogamer Expo

The fans have spoken or should I say fans of Bethesda. In our recent poll we asked you which game at the Eurogamer Expo was best received and you have voted in numbers. It appears that the Bethesda community has managed to come together to vote both developed titles into first and second place. In first place with 25 votes was the addictive shooter Brink which stole our hearts and personal award for the show. Brink was languishing low in the poll to start off with but has fought back with real resurgence to win the by six votes. In second place is another Bethesda title, Fallout: New Vegas. Obsidian, responsible for the development duties for this year’s effort can stand proud knowing it came second in our poll. In third place was Gears of War III which was holding a firm lead at one stage. Gears ended with 13 votes whilst the remainder of contenders could only fight for a simple mention.

Surprisingly Goldeneye didn’t garner that much optimism from voters despite it being a game that everyone kept marching on about how it should find its way back onto the home consoles. Perhaps it had something to do with it being on the Nintendo Wii, who knows? Either way it has been an enjoyable poll and thanks for voting. A special mention should go out to the Fallout 3 Wiki and Splash Damage forums for their communities who have been rallying to ensure their games won. It may have distorted the figures somewhat, but we don’t make the rules!

1st: Brink - 34% of the vote
2nd: Fallout: New Vegas - 26% of the vote
3rd: Gears of War 3 - 18% of the vote
4th: Gran Turismo 5 - 11% of the vote
5th: Killzone 3 - 5% of the vote
6th: Goldenye - 4% of the vote
7th: Little Big Planet 2 - 2% of the vote

Kirby’s Magic Yarn never made the short list and we had no idea that the new Zelda game would be playable as it was totally unannounced.
