While being something of a niche concept these days, there was a time back in the early 90's where Point & Click adventures were all the rage. On the Amiga 500 alone, I had both the Monkey Islands, Zak MacKrackren, Leisure Suit Larry, Police Quest, Beneath A Steel Sky and Maniac Mansion and can happily boast completing all of them. Yes, I know. I had a pretty sad childhood. Point & Clicks ... more.

I've been a fan of Mixed Martial Arts since late 2007. The first show I saw had a fight stopped by the doctor after an elbow to the head resulted in a nasty cut to the head and the doc could see bone. After that I was hooked. Sure some people saw that its brutal and bloodthirsty, but they miss the technical aspects and psychology involved. This Christmas I received the two newest games based upon ... more.

I wonder how many people actually remember the original Alien Breed. I do. I had a copy of it way back in the early 90's on the Amiga along with other Team 17 classics such as Worms and Body Blows. I was 12 at the time and spent most of my time running around blowing up aliens. It didn't matter to me what the plot was. 18 years later, I was given the chance to review the latest iteration of the se... more.

  • Dead Rising 2 Review View Comments CommentsPosted by Adam Burton on October 7, 2023 under Feature, PC Reviews, Recent News
I love Zombies.. There I admit it.. I have seen more zombie movie's than I can shake a stick at as well a fan of Robert Kirkman's Walking Dead series. When Dead Rising was released back in 2006, I immediately picked it up and was a little disappointed. The text was hard to read on a SDTV and its save system was horrendous. I hoped that Dead Rising 2 had learnt it's lesson. Set 5 years after the... more.

Simulator games are becoming a dime a dozen these days with one being made for practically everything you could think of. You can drive a bus or a lorry, be a train operator, fly light aircraft or space shuttles, or knock down buildings. Or in the case of VSTEP's Ship Simulator Extremes, you get to be the captain of your own boat (sorry.. ship) If you think that you are in for a easy ride, then... more.

Rather than follow up 2008's cell shaded game, Ubisoft have decided to revisit the Sands Of Time storyline for its 2010 effort which coincidently is really at the same time as the film. KA-CHING! Can you smell a cash-in. Forgotten Sands is technically the follow up to 2003's Sands Of Time being set during the 7 years that bridge the original 2 games and sees the Prince being sent to visit his b... more.

Imagine if you will that Civilisation 3 and Democracy 2 got together for a naughty cuddle after debating the finer points of the Victorian Era. The resulting combination could be Victoria II by Paradox Interactive. 7 years after the release of the original, Victoria II comes out this month for your PC. The original slipped me by in a year I spent playing Freelancer and SimCity 4, and I was way ... more.

M.U.D TV (or Mad Ugly Dirty Television as its actually called) by Kalypso attempts to do for television, what The Movies did for.. well movies. You play as Matt who after getting thrown out of University for being a know-it-all and EVIL AS swears vengeance and decides to take over the world by using TV. To do that, he goes out and gets a job. That’s right.. No creating a TV company out of mil... more.

You know, I’m brave enough to admit it. I actually sympathised with the character of Naughty Bear. At some point in everyone’s lives, I think we’ll ended up not been invited to an event when all of your friends did. When this happened to us, most of us probably just went up to our rooms and sulked but not Naughty. Naughty gets even. Naughty decides that he has had enough of his Teddy Bear... more.
