  • Blacklight: Tango Down Review View Comments CommentsPosted by Craig Baker on November 10, 2023 under Feature, PS3 Reviews, Recent News, Xbox 360 Reviews
Very much to my suprise, Blacklight: Tango Down has been released on the PS3 recently. Released over the summer on the Xbox Live Arcade, Tango Down experienced mediocre success and proved yet again by following in Battlefield 1943 footsteps, that you can in fact offer a decent multiplayer FPS at an affordable price. Crossing over to the PSN now let's see if the game holds up or falls flat. Much... more.

Fast paced, adrenaline rush, action packed. Pick anyone of these cliché terms and you would be accurately describing Vanquish, an epic third person sci-fi action shooter from the critically acclaimed game director Shinji Mikami. Mikami is most known perhaps for his work on the original Resident Evil Games. The legendary Mikami worked with Platinum Games, maker of Bayonetta, to bring us Vanquish. ... more.
  • Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Review View Comments CommentsPosted by Craig Baker on October 12, 2023 under Feature, Recent News, Xbox 360 Reviews
I haven’t enjoyed a Castlevania game since Simon’s Quest in 1987. So to say that I was skeptical when I picked up the new Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is an understatement. There were certain things that drew me to pick this game up. The fact that the combat system had been totally revamped was one. The other was that the graphics in the game were so good, and the game was so long that it requ... more.
  • Abaddon: Retribution Review View Comments CommentsPosted by Craig Baker on September 22, 2023 under Feature, Xbox 360 Reviews, Xbox Indie Games
Abaddon: Retribution is billed as a tower-defense game, but to me, at least, it plays like a twin stick shooter. I suppose if you wanted to get truly technical, Abaddon is actually both at the same time, which is a very good thing, especially when it is two genres so easy to pick-up-and-play with a friend. The “Tower Defense” mechanics for this game come from the capital ship Abaddon requir... more.

Finally the day is here and Mafia II has been released for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Ever since I saw my first glimpse of this game back in August 2008 I was hooked. To say that I am excited about this game is a gross understatement. I would like to point out I was not a fan of the first Mafia game, which was also developed by 2K Czech, formerly known as Illusion Software. The first Mafia just re... more.

This week I picked up Transformers: War for Cybertron, which was published by Activison and developed by High Moon Studios. This is High Moon’s third game, other releases include the 2005 vampire-western Dark Watch and the fairly well received, The Bourne Conspiracy, based on the Robert Ludlum authored, Bourne series of novels and films starring Matt Damon. • Vanquish Gameplay Trailer View Comments CommentsPosted by Craig Baker on July 31, 2023 under Recent News, Video
There aren't that many gaming news items that slip past me, but somehow during E3 this year I failed to hear about an amazing looking game coming from SEGA studios. After Alpha Protocol flopped like a fat man in a swimming pool, I was skeptical to say the least about the prospect of Vanquish looking as good as it does. The action looks fast paced in what I can only best describe as a hybrid of Mas... more.

Hey guys, it's Matt again. I know you haven't seen anything from me in awhile so I decided to make a triumphant return by playing a god awful game. What game? BLOOD BOWL! And holy shit is it terrible. So what’s this game about? Well, it’s based off an old turn-based table top RPG involving Warhammer and American football. Sounds exciting, yes? Well no, it’s not. So basically Bl... more.

The big companies are intent on breaking into the casual market and creating some new gaming innovations on the way. Nintendo were the first to fall, dedicating their entire console on the 'movement' gimmick. Sony soon followed, using their 'Six-Axis' controllers to replicate the Wii's technology but on a much lower scale. Microsoft, never one to shy away from a potential profit, then announced 'P... more.
