  • Crackdown 2 Review View Comments CommentsPosted by Craig Baker on July 30, 2023 under Feature, Xbox 360 Reviews
Crackdown puts you right back into the same environment you played in Realtime Worlds’ original hit released in 2007. The game takes place ten years later and this time you are fighting on two fronts. If you enjoyed the original game and didn’t want to see anything change in the sequel then prepare to be happy as a pig in shit because nothing has changed, but for me this is one of the major pr... more.

Who needs 3D? Seriously! I’ve always been the person whom thought that transition from 2D to 3D came all too fast and that 2D on modern hardware was never really fully utilised. This rule of thumb applies to 2D fighters a genre that never really needed to go 3D in the first place. Sticking with their guns are Arc System Works whom have unleashed a belter of a fighter that has pulverised the sale... more.

Yes! That's right, Capcom recently announced a confirmation that a third title in this epic of crossover fighters is in the works. The last iteration was released 10 years ago and is still praised today as being one of the greatest 2D fighters, and definitely the greatest crossover fighter, ever released. You can imagine how excited everyone must have been with this announcement. Not much is... more.

  • [Xbox Indie] Gerbil Valentine View Comments CommentsPosted by James Ireland on February 2, 2024 under Recent News
"Love is in the air" It is true to say that Valentine's Day, for those that celebrate it, is traditionally associated with chocolates and flowers, perhaps stretching to jewellery and perfume at a push if you've been very bad. These are all fine gifts, but dare we say it a little boring when the gifts could be about games. In an effort to make games-as-Valentine's-Day-presents the socially ac... more.
  • Soul Review [Xbox Indie] View Comments CommentsPosted by James Ireland on February 1, 2024 under Feature, Xbox Indie Games
"I think I just shit myself" Despite the huge amount of games on Xbox Indie there fortunately are some gems around and we think we’ve found one. Xbox Indie now has over 577 games available since it first started and a good 85% of them are just pure and utter garbage. It is with relief then that we’ve stumbled across a game by Kydos Studios called Soul. This game was not what we were... more.

Never played Wolfenstein before. Heard of it but never played it. It happened to come up in conversation once with my friends and I quizzed them about it. Their response was “It’s Doom…but with Nazis doing stuff with the occult…Oh and a cybernetic Hitler with miniguns for hands.”…Sold. Totally sold. As I understand it, Wolfenstein had some sequels and was quite popular but I sti... more.

When we read the press release surrounding AtomHex and Escapist Games bold claim that their 80 Microsoft point fast paced shooter was better than Bizarre Creations Geometry Wars, we thought it was nothing more than to generate hype and controversy, but we were wrong. They were absolutely right! AtomHex is a visual wet dream of combining art styles of Jeff Minter (Tempest) and Tetsuyu Mizuguchi... more.
  • Puzzlez: Xbox 360 View Comments CommentsPosted by James Ireland on August 29, 2023 under Recent News, Xbox Indie Games
As far as word games go on the Xbox 360 they are a bit few and far between, but we are starting to see more thanks to the indie games section on Xbox Live. So we decided to throw down some time with Puzzlez own word title Puzzle? The game features three word games and also a tic-tac-toe mode for just a general chill out, something that we’d only recommend playing in multiplayer (which is ava... more.
